She was diligent in acknowledging special occasions of friends, family, sorority sisters and relatives as well as keeping in touch with everyone.Ĭarole was extremely loving, and her affectionate spirit lives on in her children Brenda, Scott, Kim, Garrett, her three grandchildren Jake, Emilee, Lorenzo, and her great grandson, Charlie. A lifetime member of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority she enjoyed their sistership and many activities including the restaurant club which managed to read books. After her children were grown, she returned to corporate life and began a job at Raychem.Ĭarole was a passionate traveler, reader, avid Giants and Warriors fan, lifelong learner, and loved attending cultural events. She was a supporter of her children’s activities, Camp Fire girls, music lessons, sport leagues, and school events. They went on to have 4 children at which time she was a full-time mother and domestic goddess (homemaker). She then moved to California where she was a physical therapist at Crystal Springs Hospital, where she met her future husband, Jerry Burner. Later she attended New York University earning a master’s in education. She graduated from KU, Kansas University with a B.S. She was part of a large extended family and always had many wonderful memories of family and family gatherings. Born in Dodge City and raised in Meade, Kansas, Carole spent her youth growing up on the family farm with her 3 brothers and 1 sister and later moved to town. Carole Burner, 89, longtime resident of Redwood City, California, passed away peacefully on December 4, 2023.
